How do I calculate my horse winnings?

Dividing your total stake by the number of horses included in the dead heat. Multiplying that figure by the odds at which the bet was placed.

How do I calculate how much I will win on a bet?

The betting odds indicate how many times your stake will be multiplied in your total payout. For example, A £100 bet at 1.50 odds will pay out £150 (£50 profit, plus your £100 stake). A £25 bet at 4.00 odds will pay out £100 (£75 profit, plus your £25 stake).

    How are bets worked out?

Bets are calculated by the probability of something happening. For example, if the bet is priced at 4-1, then it is calculated as 1 / (4+1) = 0.2 which means there is a 20% chance of the outcome happening. The bet return is calculated by multiplying the stake by the odds.

What is Rule 4 in horse racing?

Rule 4 in horse racing refers to a deduction taken from payouts on a race if a runner/runners are withdrawn after the final declarations are made.

How do I work out my winnings on an each-way bet?

The equation reads: (Bet x Odds) + (Bet x 1/4 of Odds) + 1/2 Stake + 1/2 Stake = Each Way Winnings In this equation, the bet is the amount of money you placed on the racer.

What does backing a horse each way mean?

An Each Way (EW, E/W) bet is essentially two separate bets: one for the horse to win, the other for the horse to place in any of the place positions offered in that race. This means you can receive a return on your bet if your selection wins, but also if it just places.

What is the best bet to make in horse racing?

The win bet should be the key bet, especially for newcomers. Takeout (the amount of money that goes to the track that is not returned to bettors) for win, place, and show bets are less than most exotic bets. Most importantly, don’t bet two or more horses to win in the same race

There are numerous different bet types that bettors can choose from across various sports. These bets can be placed as a single bet, but also combined with other selections into a Multiple bet.

    What is a Multiple bet?

Multiples betting is a form of betting that combines multiple bets into one. Whether it’s an accumulator, Bet Calculator Lucky 15, Patent, Trixie, treble, handicap, or an Over/Under (or any other available market type) when you place a bet with one selection it’s known as a Single.

When you combine more than one selection into one bet it becomes a Multiple bet.

    Bet Calculator Lucky 15

The popular Lucky 15 bet comprises 15 separate bets. That is 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 Trebles, and 1 Fourfold Accumulator. You only need one winning selection that will guarantee a return. Choose from the drop-down Bet Calculator Lucky 15 selection.

    How do betting odds work?

Bettors may know a Multiple by various different names. To some, it’s a parlay, while others might know it as an accumulator. The concept for this type of bet is the same. Just like the selection you make for a single bet must win for your Single bet to be a winner, all of the selections in a Multiple must win in order for that Multiple bet to be a winner.

The most common type of Multiple bet simply multiplies the odds for each selection by each other in order to calculate the betting odds for the bet overall.
